Reporters Without Borders (RSF) Germany offers journalists from war zones and crisis areas the opportunity to take a break in Berlin for four months and complete a training programme in digital security.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) Germany is offering 12 journalists from war zones and crisis areas a place in the Berlin Scholarship Programme: Empowering Journalists in the Digital Field. Funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, the programme aims to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills to protect themselves against digital threats such as surveillance or hacker attacks in their journalistic activities.

The scholarship, four months long in total, will cover travel costs and all visa-related matters. It will also provide a monthly allowance, accommodation and free use of public transportation in Berlin. The first round of the programme will take place next year from 1 March until 30 June, and the second round will be from 1 August until 30 November, 2022.
