Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is offering the next round of the Rest and Refuge Fellowship programme, a 6-month package designed for journalists from countries where press freedom is restricted.

Taking place since 2015, the Rest and Refuge Fellowship programme is a joint project of Reporters Without Borders Germany and the taz Panter Foundation which aims to grant two journalists a six-month sabbatical to recover from difficult working conditions and to further their professional and personal development.

The fellowship, six months long in total, will cover travel costs and all visa-related matters. It will also provide a monthly allowance, accommodation and free use of public transportation in Berlin. The stay is planned for a period from 1st of May until 31st of October 2022, though due to Covid-19, the dates are subject to change.
